WHAT IS YOUR INTENTION?
Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished - Lao Tzu
Do you ever notice the more you rush around the less you get done? Why do you think that is? I believe it’s because we are going through the motions without awareness. We are not being in the moment and focusing on what we are doing now. I know for myself, I sometimes find that I am thinking about the next thing I need to do instead of what I am trying to accomplish now. That when nothing gets accomplished and I sometimes throw my hands up in frustration.
Take a deep breath, think about the task at hand, picture what you need to do, maybe even write down some steps and check them off as each one is completed. If you have a few tasks to accomplish, add them to your list, just keep them in an order that makes sense to your day. If laundry is on your list, there’s a lot to get done in between loads.
Don’t just rush through each task, really take notice and appreciate each of the steps. Be thankful! While you're folding those clothes, take a moment and admire them again. Emptying your dishwasher, acknowledge those dishes you chose, or maybe take a look at your containers. Are they getting a little beat up- maybe it’s time to replace them?
The next time you find yourself rushing through life, stop, take a breath and take stock of the situation, add a little gratitude and move slowly and purposefully. Oh, and it doesn’t hurt to smile:)
I wish you all, love light laughter, health and happiness - Namaste,
Terry
